Structure of a dicot leaf

Dicot leaf :

Leaves help in transpiration. Transpiration is bought by stomata. Stomata helps in respiration. A central mid rib portion and either lamina. Upper surface made of upper epidermis. Lower surface lower epidermis. Epidermis is made of single layer of cells. In the upper epidermis are modified to form stomata. Stomata is called guard cells. Very few stomata is in the upper epidermis. Lower epidermis has more stomata so more transpiration in lower epidermis then upper epidermis. Stomata also contain chloroplast.
